Turn information into transformation.

Creating happiness is a process.

Happiness is found mostly in our day-to-day experience. You do not have to wait for a future event or set of circumstances to experience it. You can start creating it right now!

The process

  • Expand awareness

Everything starts with awareness. As you expand your awareness, you create possibility and discover the vast potential before you.

Awareness can come from internal self-discovery and it can come from learning something new. You can expand your perspective and change how you interpret the work around you.

  • Discover meaningful direction

It is from this expanded state that you can begin to see and understand the complex connections around you.

You can use these powerful connections to carve the most effective path to positive change. Shift your focus from problems to your desired outcome, and then align your energy in pursuit of this meaningful direction.

  • Practice

You create lasting change by making choices and taking actions in alignment with what you truly want, consistently. Small changes make a big impact when they are part of a regular practice. This is about what you do.

Find daily practices that serve the changes you want to make. You can enjoy the process when you find the practices that are best for you.

When you enjoy the process, you can create happiness every step of the way.

SPIRE Framework

“Happiness” can mean different things to different people. In this course, we look at happiness holistically, using overall wellbeing as a representation of happiness and a means to help you understand what happiness truly means to you.

We will look at overall wellbeing through the SPIRE framework which captures the essence of happiness through five essential aspects: Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational, and Emotional (SPIRE). It was developed by Dr. Tal Ben Shahar, the founder of the Happiness Studies Academy (HSA).

This framework will support you in expanding your awareness and identifying where you might like to make changes. It allows you to evaluate each aspect directly, while still seeing them as a connected system. The specific balance of these aspects that creates the most happiness for you, is specific to you.
